Pageflakes bought - and is anyone else still using start pages?

Reading that Pagesflakes had been bought set me thinking as to why I don’t seem to be using my Netvibes page anymore.  Seems to come down to tabbed browsing and the wonders of the Ctrl-PgDn/PgUp shortcut to navigate them on Firefox.  If Gmail/Remember the Milk, Reader, Facebook and WordPress are all a key-stroke away, do I really want to mess around with summaries?  Especially with Reader?

  1. For a lot of people, its more than just RSS Readers. I personally have a few blogs I follow, but I love my facebook and twitter notifier too. Pageflakes also looks much better than iGoogle and company- I want to be able to add a theme, or create one myself.

  2. Thanks for dropping by, Allison. I also had a lengthy love-affair with my Netvibes page but I’ve got so used to keeping half-a-dozen key tabs open at all times…

Mind you, it’s been six months since I last paid it any serious attention - I realy should see what they’ve been working on.
