OK, I was tempting fate. Alex Barnett informs us (via Tech Dirt) that HBO have realised that all DRM needs to hook in the consumer in droves is to change the name. Ars Technica comment how the exec in question, Rob Zitter, is at least acknowledging the truth of the matter – consumers find DRM loathsome.
Certainly, no matter what pressure is put on them, the academic evidence seems to be that American students just don’t see that there’s anything wrong in filesharing.
